About the Artist

I have always seen the world a little differently.

Where others walk past, I notice — the way light falls across a stranger's face, the quiet mood of a landscape, the story living behind someone's eyes. I was drawn to drawing and painting from as far back as I can remember. It was never really a choice. It was just who I was.

But life happens. I grew up, built a life, raised children, and kept the paints put away for another day. That day always felt just out of reach — until now.

My kids are older. The time is finally mine. And I made myself a promise: I will not grow old wondering what could have been.

So I paint.

I paint portraits because humans fascinate me more than anything else in this world. I paint landscapes because sometimes a place holds a feeling that words simply cannot carry. I work in oils because there is a richness and depth to the medium that matches the way I see things. And I draw in charcoal when I want to strip everything back to its raw, honest form.

I grew up in Canada — this is my home, the place that shaped me. But I was also raised on stories of Iran, a country described to me as a paradise. Those stories never left me. The faces, the culture, the history — they live in my work alongside everything I have experienced here.

My art is my point of view. It is the beauty I see every day that I want to share with the world — from the people around me to the landscapes that take my breath away, from the warmth of Toronto to the soul of a homeland I carry in my heart.

This is my happy place. I'm so glad you found it.
