I painted this for my daughter.
She was away at university — finding herself, building her life, stepping into who she is becoming. And I wanted to give her something that said what words sometimes can't quite carry.
She loves flowers. Always has. So I painted her flowers — but not delicate, timid ones. Bold ones. Lush and full and unapologetic, bursting off a deep green background with a confidence that mirrors everything I see in her.
The message hidden in every petal is simple: you will forever bloom.
No matter where life takes you. No matter how far from home. No matter what challenges find you along the way. You will forever bloom.
I didn't know when I painted this that it would resonate with so many people beyond just her. But that's what art does — it starts as something personal and becomes something universal. Because every mother has a daughter she believes in. And every daughter needs to be reminded of what she's capable of.
