I painted the Statue of Liberty by hand.

I sat on my back deck one afternoon, thinking about what freedom actually means. Not the word — the feeling. The weight of it. The thing people cross oceans for.

I was born in Iran. I live in Canada. And I have spent my whole life watching America from the outside — inspired by what it was founded to be. Life. Liberty. The pursuit of happiness. For people like me, these aren't just words on old parchment. They are the most radical ideas ever written down.

Two hundred and fifty years later, those ideas still matter. Maybe more than ever.

So I painted her. The woman who stands in the harbour with her torch raised, welcoming everyone who arrives with nothing but hope. I painted her in blues and greys, the way she looks on a clear morning when the light is still soft. And I surrounded her with the flag, the stars, the stripes — all of it worn and weathered, because 250 years of freedom isn't pristine. It's earned.

This shirt is for people who feel what July 4th means. Not just Americans — anyone, anywhere, who understands what it means to live free.
